Five Held Over Fatal Shooting
Five men are to be questioned by garda in connection with a fatal shooting in Co Meath yesterday.
Peter Butterly from Dunleer was shot dead as he sat in a car outside the Huntsman Inn bar at around 2.30pm.
The father of three is believed to have had links to dissident republican activity.
Four men, all in their 20s, were arrested at the scene.
The fifth man, in his 40s, was arrested shortly after.
Garda are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Donegal Shots Man Questioned
A 38-year-old man is being held in custody following a shooting incident in Co. Donegal yesterday morning. Garda arrested the man in St Johnston shortly after 9.30am when the followed up reports that a shotgun had been fired. It is understood that a legally held shotgun was fired in the air outside a house.

Three men have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting incident in Castleroy, Co Limerick, on 29 June, 2015. A 55-year-old man was shot a number of times as he parked his car in the grounds of the University of Limerick. Two men, aged in their 30s, were arrested early on Wednesday morning in the Limerick area.

Garda investigating the murder of senior Real IRA member Alan Ryan in Dublin last month have arrested two men. The men aged in their late 20s and 30s were arrested today (Thursday) and are being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Coolock Garda station.
