Three Men Arrested In Connection With 2015 Castletroy Shooting

Three men have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting incident in Castleroy, Co Limerick, on 29 June, 2015.

A 55-year-old man was shot a number of times as he parked his car in the grounds of the University of Limerick.

Two men, aged in their 30s, were arrested early on Wednesday morning in the Limerick area. They are currently being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Henry Street and Mayorstone Garda Stations. A third man, aged in his 50s, was also arrested in Limerick. He is being detained at Roxoboro Road Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.

To date, nine people have been arrested as part of the investigation.

Man Arrested Over Shooting Incident In Co Limerick
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in County Limerick. A man in his 50s was seriously injured in the incident which occurred in Castleroy on Monday morning. He is currently in a critical but stable condition in hospital. The man is currently being detained at Henry Street Garda Station.

Three Charged In Connection With Fatal Shooting In Murroe
Three men have appeared before a special sitting of Limerick District Court charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Murroe last weekend. The men, aged 49, 48 and 25, were arrested after a 51-year-old man was killed in a shooting at Mountfune, Murroe, Co Limerick, on Saturday, 20 June.

Man Arrested Over Limerick Shooting
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Limerick. A 42-year-old man received gunshot injuries after a male approached premises and shot him on Saturday at approximately 2pm. The man was taken to Limerick University Hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
