Michael Barry Acquitted In Toyosi Murder Case

A judge has directed the acquittal that Dublin man, Michael Barry, is to be acquitted of a murder charge of Toyosi Shittabey in April 2010.

15 year old Toyosi was stabbed on Good Friday following an argument between a group of friends and the Barry brothers.

Judge Barry White directed there was no evidence to suggest Mr Barry know his brother, Paul, was in possession of a knife when he took him to the scene where the teen was stabbed.

Mr Barry of Pigeon House Road had denied being party to the stabbing.

Paul Barry is now deceased.

The judge directed a verdict of not guilty be issued against Michael Barry.
