Controlled Explosion In Dublin

A controlled explosion has reportedly been carried out on a suspected stolen car in Dublin.

Army bomb disposal experts were called after what was believed to be an explosive device was spotted on the car, which was being towed to a premises in the Kingswood Cross area of the city.

The car, which is understood to have a Northern Ireland registration, was removed for further forensic tests. Gardai have also been in contact with the PSNI in order to try and find the car's owner.

'Plan Ahead' For St Patrick's Day Events This Weekend
Belfast City Council has outlined traffic and travel arrangements ahead of this Sunday's St Patrick's Day event in Belfast. A number of traffic diversions will be in place in and around Belfast city centre. Visitors and participants are advised to plan their journey in advance and leave extra time to travel to and from the city centre.

Another English Language School Closes
A seventh college which caters for international students in Ireland has said it is to close. In a post on its Facebook page, English in Dublin, located on the city's Merrion Square, confirmed had entered into liquidation "with great regret".

Viable IED Found Under Car In South Dublin
A viable explosive device has been found under a car in south Dublin. According to the Irish Independent, a viable IED (improvised explosive device) was found under a car in the Glenshane area of Jobstown in Tallaght, south Dublin. The Army Bomb Disposal Team were called at around 21:25 and a number of residents evacuated from their homes.

Explosive Device Made Safe In South Dublin
A viable explosive device, discovered in south Dublin overnight, has been made safe by the Army. The improvised device was found beside a vehicle parked outside a home in Carrigwood in Firhouse in the early hours of Monday morning.
