Dundalk Hit-And-Run 'Deliberate Act Of Endangerment'

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses following a hit-and-run incident in Dublin, Co Louth, which has been described as a "deliberate act of endangerment".

It is understood that a silver Ford Focus, registration 99-D-25111, mounted the footpath and struck a man, aged in his 30s. The incident occurred on Barrack street shortly before 10am.

The man remains in a serious condition in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

Detectives are now trying to establish whether the hit-and-run is linked to a local feud in the Dundalk town area.

Investigation Launched After Pharmacy Worker Stabbed
An investigation has been launched in Drogheda after a Pharmacy employee was stabbed. Gardaí were called to Scarlet Street shortly before 08:30 on Tuesday morning to reports that an employee had been stabbed. A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in County Louth. The incident occurred at a pharmacy on Scarlet Street in Drogheda shortly before 8.30am on Tuesday. The victim, believed to be in his 30's, is currently being treated in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Two Arrested Over Aidan Myers Murder
Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Aidan Myers, gardaí have confirmed. Mr Myers, 37, was killed by a gang who had attempted to hijack the car in which he was a passenger in Faughart, Co. Louth on December 12, 2006. He died after being attacked by a machete.

Couples 'Brutally' Attacked By Teenagers At Beauty Spot
Five teenagers have been arrested after a "brutal" attack in a Co Louth beauty spot on Tuesday morning. The couples were in a car just inside the entrance to Townley Hall woods at around 5.30am when they were approached by a group of males.
