Investigation Launched After Pharmacy Worker Stabbed

An investigation has been launched in Drogheda after a Pharmacy employee was stabbed.

Gardaí were called to Scarlet Street shortly before 08:30 on Tuesday morning to reports that an employee had been stabbed.

The victim, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, where his condition is described as serious.

Gardaí responding to the incident arrested a man in his 30s close to the scene. The man is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Dundalk Garda Station.

The investigation is ongoing.

Man Arrested After Dutch Man Is Found Stabbed To Death
A man, 41, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Kamal El Habsati. Mr Habsati's body was discovered at an apartment in Ballymun on 5th December. He was a Dutch Citizen of Morrocan descent. The man is being held at Ballymun Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Investigation Launched Into Galway Body Find
Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Galway City. It is understood that the man's body was found by his flatmate on Monday. According to reports, the dead man is believed to be a 23-year-old from Tullamore in Co Offaly who was studying in Galway City.

Three Arrested In Cork Shooting Investigation
Gardaí in Cork have arrested three men in connection with a shooting in the city on Monday night. According to gardaí a man aged in his 20s was shot a number of times by a man on a motorbike. The victim is being treated at Mercy University Hospital. Gardí have appealed for witnesses to the shooting, or any one with any information, to contact them.

Gardaí Release CCTV Images Of Man Who Stabbed Dublin Footballer
Gardaí in Dublin have released CCTV images of the man who attacked footballer Jonny Cooper in the early hours of Sunday morning. Officers investigating the attack, in which Cooper was repeatedly stabbed in the head and shoulders, have appealed for information on the attacker.

Four Girls In Hospital After Aerosol Explosion
Garda are investigating the circumstances surrounding four girls ending up in hospital after an aerosol exploded in a house in Drogheda on Sunday. The girls are being treated in hospital, two in Crumlin's children's hospital and two in Tallaght, following the incident. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
