Four Hurt In Rally Crash In Meath

Four people have been injured following a crash at a rally in Athboy, Co Meath.

The accident happened at around 4pm on Sunday.

According to reports, two spectators and two competitors sustained "serious" injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

One of the men was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. The other three men were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, Co Louth and Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

A woman has been killed in a two-vehicle collision in Co. Meath. The crash happened around 9.30am on the Dunboyne side of Fairyhouse Cross. The woman who died is reported to be a 25-year-old. The N3 is expected to remain closed for the rest of the afternoon.

Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash
A man has been killed in a collision in Galway. The car crash happened at around 2.45am this morning on the Headford to Galway Road. The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Injured in Co Meath Shooting
A man has been injured in a shooting in County Meath. The attack happened at a house in Dowth, at approximately 9.45pm on Sunday. The victim was shot a number of times in the upper body and his leg. He is currently being treated at Our Lady of Lordes Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
