Man Injured in Co Meath Shooting

A man has been injured in a shooting in County Meath.

The attack happened at a house in Dowth, at approximately 9.45pm on Sunday.

The victim was shot a number of times in the upper body and his leg.

He is currently being treated at Our Lady of Lordes Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Garda are currently carrying out an investigation.

Man Injured In Meath Shooting
An investigation has been launched following a shooting incident which took place in Co Meath on Thursday, 03 August. It is believed a lone male entered the driveway of a house at Mill Close, Stamullen, and fired a number of shots at around 7pm. The shots injured the male driver of a car. His condition is unknown.

Man Injured In Dublin Pub Shooting
A man is being treated in hospital following a shooting incident at a Dublin pub. A man was shot and injured at a pub in Sallynoggin at about 1am on Monday morning. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. He is being treated at St Vincent's University Hospital. Garda are investigating the shooting but say no arrests have yet been made.

Five Held Over Fatal Shooting
Five men are to be questioned by garda in connection with a fatal shooting in Co Meath yesterday. Peter Butterly from Dunleer was shot dead as he sat in a car outside the Huntsman Inn bar at around 2.30pm. The father of three is believed to have had links to dissident republican activity. Four men, all in their 20s, were arrested at the scene.

Teenager And Young Child Injured In Alleged Shooting In West Dublin
An investigation has been launched into an alleged shooting incident in West Dublin. According to reports, a teenager and a young child have been injured in an incident that gardaí have said is "ongoing" in the Parlickstown area of Blanchardstown. The area has been sealed off and gardaí are at the scene. Further updates to follow.

Man Dies In Co Meath Shooting Incident
A man aged in his 50s has been killed after being shot in Ratoath, Co Meath. Gardaí have reported that the man died in an incident at the Old Mill yesterday, 23 March. The scene has been preserved for a technical examination by the Garda Technical Bureau and Dr. Michael Curtis from the State Pathologists Office has attended the scene.
