Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Co Wicklow Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Wicklow have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road crash on Sunday night.
A 22-year-old died when the car he was driving hit a ditch at Milltown Lane in Ashford just before midnight.
A passenger in the car, a 26-year-old man, was taken to St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown. He is said to have sustained minor injuries.
The road remains closed pending a forensic examination.
Gardaí have asked for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.

The appeal concerns a road accident in which a 78-year-old woman died when a car she was in collided with a second car on the Coast Road, in Malahide. The woman was taken to Beaumont Hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time after arrival.
