Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Swords Road Crash

Gardaí have appealed to witnesses of a fatal road crash in North County Dublin to contact them.

The appeal concerns a road accident in which a 78-year-old woman died when a car she was in collided with a second car on the Coast Road, in Malahide.

The woman was taken to Beaumont Hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time after arrival.

Three other people injured in the crash, a 79-year-old man and two women aged 22 and 59, are being treated in hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Gardai in Swords are investigating and have asked for witnesses to contact them at Swords Garda Station on 01 666 4700 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

A man has died when his car collided with a van on the Rathbeale road in Swords, Dublin, around 02.30am on Wednesday morning. The man in his 40s was a passenger in the van. He died at the scene. The driver of the van and a second passenger are being treated in hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A man has been killed in a collision in Galway. The car crash happened at around 2.45am this morning on the Headford to Galway Road. The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission has made a new appeal for witnesses to a road crash in which a 77-year-old woman died on Friday. Clare Barr, from the Navan Road in Dublin, died after she was struck by a car on the Dublin-bound carriageway of the Navan Road, Dublin 7, around 2pm on Friday.

Appeal For Witnesses After Three-Year-Old Dies In Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Monaghan have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road crash on the N2 near Annamarron. A three-year-old boy was killed when the car he was travelling in collided with another car. The 36-year-old driver of the car was also critically injured in the collision.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Crash on N2 Finglas
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the N2 Finglas on Saturday 16 April. A male pedestrian was fatally injured when he was hit by a car on the N2 dual carriageway at about 3am. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.
