€2.1m Worth Of Cannabis Seized In Growhouse Raids

Cannabis growhouse with an estimated overall value of €2.1 million have been uncovered in gardaí raids.

Three growhouses were found at Clash industrial estate in Tralee, Co Kerry; a house at Falty, Oldtown, Athlone, Co Roscommon; and a house and sheds at Carrigaloon, Virginia, Co Cavan.

Some 1,800 plants at various stages of maturity, with an estimated value of €1.3m were uncovered in Tralee. Along with plants worth €240,000 in Roscommon and 700 plants, with an estimated value of €560,000, seized in Co Cavan.

In total three men were detained during the raids and are being questioned by Gardaí about the drug seizures.

Three Arrested Over Cannabis Plants
Garda in Co Clare have uncovered two separate cannabis cultivation plants, producing plants with an combined estimated street value of €440,000. Three people have been arrested in connection with the finds. A man and woman, both aged 23, were arrested in connection with the discovery of some 200 cannabis plants at a house in Lislanahan, Kilkee.

Cigarettes, Drugs And Cash Seized In Dundalk Raids
Revenue and garda officers have seized 20,000 illegal cigarettes, a quantity of drugs and cash during two searches in Dundalk, Co Louth. Revenue officers, acting on intelligence, carried out searches at two premises and discovered 20,000 smuggled 'Excellence'-branded cigarettes along with 7kgs of 'Flandria' tobacco.

Drugs Worth Over €6m Seized By Garda
Drugs with an estimated street value of €6.3m have been seized in two separate raids in Dublin and Drogheda. Gardaí seized heroin worth an estimated €4.05m when they stopped and searched an articulated lorry on the M1 near Drogheda, Co Louth on Thursday night. Three people have been arrested in connection with the find.

Man Arrested After Cannabis Plants Seized In Co Limerick
A man has been arrested after cannabis plants were seized by gardaí in Limerick. The plants are believed to be worth an estimated street value of €115,000. Gardaí carried out the planned search at a house in Bruff on Monday. The man, in his 20s, is being detained at Bruff Garda Station.

Cannabis Plants Seized In Co Kerry
Cannabis plants worth an estimated street value of €160,000 have been seized by Gardaí following the search of a house at Kilgarvan, Co Kerry on Tuesday. At around 5.40pm, Gardaí searched a house at Gorthloughera, and found that the house had been used for cultivating cannabis.
