Raids Recover Cannabis Worth €1.3 Million

Raids by Gardaí in Drogheda and Dublin have lead to the seizure of cannabis with a estimated value of €1.3m.

A house in Drogheda was searched following an early search of a car stopped in Dublin on Friday night.

A cannabis cultivation operation was uncovered, estimated to have a potential street value of around €600,000. Two men were arrested in connection with the find.

In a separate operation, gardaí recovered some €700,000 worth of cannabis in a raid on a house in Tallaght.

The drugs were found in a planned operation at Hazel Grove Court on Sunday evening.

No arrests were made after this raid and investigations are ongoing.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Raid
A man has been arrested following a drugs seizure in Dublin. The raid was carried out at Grafton Hall, Aungier Street, in the south of the city at around 11.45pm on Saturday. Gardaí have said a grow house was discovered at the premises and 101 cannabis plants were seized. They are thought to have an estimated value of €80,000.

Cigarettes, Drugs And Cash Seized In Dundalk Raids
Revenue and garda officers have seized 20,000 illegal cigarettes, a quantity of drugs and cash during two searches in Dundalk, Co Louth. Revenue officers, acting on intelligence, carried out searches at two premises and discovered 20,000 smuggled 'Excellence'-branded cigarettes along with 7kgs of 'Flandria' tobacco.

Men Arrested Over Santry Cannabis Seizure
Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Police Target Drug Trade Across Ireland
Gardaí investigating the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Cork area have seized drugs with an estimated value of up to €590,000 and arrested a male following a planned operation on Monday. A similar operation took place along the border with the North as well.
