Cigarettes, Drugs And Cash Seized In Dundalk Raids
Revenue and garda officers have seized 20,000 illegal cigarettes, a quantity of drugs and cash during two searches in Dundalk, Co Louth.
Revenue officers, acting on intelligence, carried out searches at two premises and discovered 20,000 smuggled 'Excellence'-branded cigarettes along with 7kgs of 'Flandria' tobacco.
Garda were called to the search when herbal cannabis and cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €63,000 and €20,000 in cash was also uncovered.
No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.

Over 900,000 Cigarettes Seized In Three Customs Service Operations
Revenue's Customs Service have seized 900,000 cigarettes at Dublin Port as a result of routine profiling. On Wednesday, 12 October, the cigarettes were detected, with the help of detector dog Casey, in five pallets which were marked as 'catering equipment' and had arrived into Dublin from the Netherlands.

Revenue Officers have seized cocaine, cash and cigarettes in a number of separate operations at Dublin Airport. On Sunday, 27 September, Revenue officers, with the assistance of detection dog Scooby, seized 5.7kgs of cocaine worth €400,000 from a 48-year-old Italian male who had arrived in on a flight from Dubai.

Revenue officers seized two dogs, a quantity of cash and thousands of unstamped cigarettes during separate operations across the country on Tuesday 05 November. Routine profiling led to the discovery of over €27,000 in the luggage of an Irish national travelling from Shannon to Malaga.
