Gardaí Investigate Killester Armed Robbery

Gardaí at Clontarf are investigating an armed robbery that took place yesterday.

At approximately 6.20pm two men, one armed with what appeared to be a handgun and the other armed with a hammer, entered the Supervalu in Killester and made threats to staff. They left with a substantial amount of cash and were driven away from the scene by a third man in a red Citroen Saxo.

No shots were fired or persons injured during the course of the robbery.

The car was abandoned a short distance away on Gracefield Road.

After follow up investigations and searches a 27-year-old man was arrested in the back garden of a house on Mask Crescent.

He is being detained under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act at Clontarf Garda Station.

All the money taken in the robbery has been recovered.

Garda Investigate Armed Robbery By Man Dressed As A Woman
Gardaí have launched an investigation into an armed robbery in south Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning. It is understood a businessman was lodging cash at a bank deposit box at about 4:45am on Terenure Road East in Rathgar, when he was approached by a man, dressed in women's clothing, and carrying what appeared to be a handgun.

Gardai in Dublin are investigating an armed robbery on a Dunnes Stores outlet in Rathmines, last night. They are believed to be looking for two men who escaped with a substantial sum of money at around 8.30pm.

Cash Van Robbed Near Dublin Airport
Further details have emerged following a cash-in-transit van robbery near Dublin airport. After early reports of the raid on Tuesday morning, Gardaí have revealed the raid took place at a branch of the Ulster Bank situated near the Coachman's Inn, a landmark pub a short distance from the airport, and the Fingal Golf Centre in Cloghran, Swords.

Three Men Arrested In Connection With Suspected Armed Robbery
Three men have been arrested in connection with a suspected armed robbery at a shop in Bawnogue Shopping Centre, Clondalkin. Two masked men threatened shop staff with a suspected firearm and fled the scene with a sum of cash. When the suspects left they were seen going in the direction of the Lealand estate.

Garda Hunt Man Following Attempted Armed Robbery
Gardaí are searching for a man in connection with the attempted armed robbery of an Ulster Bank in Blackpool, County Cork. According to reports, a man entered the branch and produced a knife. He threatened staff with the knife and demanded cash. It is understood that a bank teller gave the man a special cash bundle containing a dye pack.
