Gardai Investigate Armed Robbery In Dublin
Gardai in Dublin are investigating an armed robbery on a Dunnes Stores outlet in Rathmines, last night.
They are believed to be looking for two men who escaped with a substantial sum of money at around 8.30pm.
The men, who were wearing balaclavas and carrying what appeared to be a handgun and a shotgun, threatened three members of staff and took them to a cash room.
The men locked the staff in the cash room before fleeing the scene in a silver-coloured Ford Galaxy.
No shots were fired and no-one was hurt in the incident.

Bank Staff Threatened With Machete
A bank in Co Tipperary was robbed this morning. Gardaí said nobody was physically injured in the incident but staff were very shocked. It happened at the AIB branch in the village of Clogheen which was held-up around 10.30am this morning by two men, one carrying a machete.

Gardai Investigate Two More Aggravated Burglaries In Co Donegal
Gardaí in Co Donegal are investigating to more separate aggravated burglaries carried out against elderly people. Five men called to the home of a man in his 60s at Linsfort, Buncrana, at about 7.30pm on Tuesday night. They forced their way into the house and demanded cash. The man was assaulted and sustained minor injuries.

Men Held Over Dublin Airport Cash Seizure
Revenue officers have seized more than €63,000 in two separate operations at Dublin Airport. Officers stopped and searched two Romanian men following routine profiling. The men were travelling separately; however, both were boarding the same early morning flight to Budapest at 6am on Monday, 15 May.

Investigation Launched Into Limerick Hospital Fire
An investigation has been launched into a fire at University Hospital Limerick over the weekend. A number of patients were evacuated from the hospital when the fire was spotted at around 18:45 on Saturday evening. It is understood that the fire began in a plant room, which is on the roof of one of the hospitals laboratories.

Three Men Arrested After Drugs And Cash Seized In North Dublin
Three men have been arrested afte drugs and cash were seized in north Dublin, as part of ongoing investigations targeting criminal activity in the region. During the operation a number of vehicles were stopped on the M1 motorway just north of Swords, Co. Dublin, on Monday evening by Gardaí from the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau.
