Woman Critical After Assault At Maternity Hospital
A woman has been viciously assaulted at the entrance of a maternity hospital in Dublin.
The 29-year-old was badly injured during the assault and is said to be in a critical condition in hospital.
Gardai in Fitzgibbon Street have today launched an appeal for witnesses to the assault which a Gardaí spokesman described as "serious". The incident occurred last Thursday at approx 2.15pm on Parnell Sq east near the entrance to the Rotunda Maternity Hospital.
A Gardaí spokesman said: "The young lady was seriously assaulted and is currently in hospital in a critical condition."
No motive for the attack has yet been established. The woman is currently being treated in Beaumont Hospital with head injuries.
