Two Dead After Separate Road Accidents
Two people have been killed after separate road traffic collisions over the weekend.
In the first incident, a 23-year-old male driver died as the result of the injuries he sustained during a collision in Abbeydorney, County Kerry.
Gardai in the area are investigating the two vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday at approximately 8.45pm.
The man's car was in collision with a tractor and trailer resulting in the man, who was sole occupant of the car, being fatally injury. He was taken to Tralee General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardai have appealed to members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or be able to assist the Gardai with their investigation to contact Tralee Garda Station at 066 - 7102300, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
Shortly following this incident, a man in his 60s died after a collision at Killarague, Dromahair, County Leitrim, when the car he was driving left the road and crashed in a field. The dead man was the only occupant of the car, which was discovered by a man out walking at 12.30 p.m. on the 7th of June 2009.
The road at the scene in closed and the incident is under investigation.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

A driver has been killed after her car was in collision with an articulated truck. Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic collision on the N24 about 2km from Kilsheelan in Coounty Tipperary, at about 9.50pm yesterday. The woman, who is in her 20s, was killed when the car she was driving was in collision with an articulated truck.

A man has died in a road crash in Co Laois. The 22-year-old male's car collided with a wall at Kilmullen near Portarlington, at around 3.50 am on Monday, 07 August. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.

The PSNI Police were called to the scene of the incident on the Gorticashel Road, Mountfield, outside Omagh, shortly after 4.30pm yesterday. They were responding to a report that a tractor had left the road.
