Man Dead Following Road Collision In Co Laois
A man has died in a road crash in Co Laois.
The 22-year-old male's car collided with a wall at Kilmullen near Portarlington, at around 3.50 am on Monday, 07 August. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.
The stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Portlaoise Garda Station, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line or any Garda Station.

Man Questioned Over Fatal Road Crash In Co Mayo
Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.

Two Arrested In Connection With Dean Johnson Murder
Two men in their 20's have been arrested in connection with the murder of Dean Johnson in Dublin in August. Mr Johnson was shot dead at Neilstown Road, Clondalkin. A number of searches were carried out by gardai in Ronanstown, Clondalkin, Cabra and Kilock and two males were arrested.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of a fatal road accident in Co Kerry. A 24-year-old man died when the car he was driving hit a wall on the N69 Tralee-Listowel Road in Glenballyma in Tralee. The accident happened at about 21:45 on Saturday. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.

Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.
