Fatal Shooting In Shopping Centre
A man has been shot and killed during a incident in a Limerick shopping centre on Thursday.
Gardai in Roxboro Road Garda Station are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a man in his late 20's which occurred at a pub in the Roxboro Shopping Centre shortly after midday.
The man was removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The scene is preserved and the services of the Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologist have been requested.
A man in his early 20's has been arrested and is currently detained under Section 50 of Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Roxboro Road Garda Station.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to offer to contact Gardaí at Roxboro Road on 061 214340, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Arrests Follow Limerick Firearms Seizure
Two people have been arrested after three firearms were discovered during a search of houses in Limerick city on Monday. The houses in O'Malley Park in the Southill area were searched on Monday and it is understood that a rifle, a sawn-off shotgun and a full-length shotgun were recovered.

Ninth Arrest Over Limerick Murder
Another arrest has been made in connection with the murder of Jeffery Hannon. Gardai at Roxboro Road Garda station investigating the murder of, father of two, Jeffrey Hannon last night arrested a male in his late teens in the midlands area. He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice at Roxboro Road Garda Station.
