Injured Garda Recovering
The 28-year-old garda officer knocked down this week by a stolen car is now said to be in a stable condition in a Dublin hospital.
Garda Robert McCallion (29) was prevously listed as critical after he was hit by a car in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
The officer was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital after the hit-and-run at about 4.30am on Thursday.
Three officers were trying to stop a stolen car in the Tara Court housing estate when a car was driven at them.
A second officer sustained injuries to his arm and the third was uninjured. Two people have been arrested.
A 17-year-old male was arrested for dangerous driving and a man in his early 20s was arrested for endangerment.
Michael Boyce, from the Gardái Representative Association, said officers were shocked by what happened.
"They saw three of their colleagues head out to a crime and now one of them is in hospital with serious head injuries, it's just left them numb," he said.
Two men are due in court today in relation to the incident.
They will appear before Glenties District Court.

Enniskerry Robber Sentenced
A career robber who was arrested by police - who pushed his getaway car into a ditch - has been given a seven-year sentence. Judge Katherine Delahunt sentenced David Shannon (29) for his part in a Dublin city centre robbery where he was one of two men who tried to raid a Brinks security van as it pulled into The Scalp Service Station at Enniskerry.

Woman Seriously Injured In Three-Car Accident
A woman has been seriously injured following a three-car collision on the N4 Dublin/Sligo Road. The crash occurred on the Edgeworth Road at approximately 5.30pm on Wednesday (7 January). The woman is currently being treated at Midland Regional Hospital. The main Dublin/Sligo Road has been closed and diversions are in place.
