Criminal Car Cache Discovered By Gardaí

A large number of suspect cars has been seized in Dublin, Gardaí revealed yesterday evening.

Officers from Baltinglass seized a total of 13 suspected stolen cars during a planned search on an underground car park in Mill Court Apartments, Baltinglass on Monday at noon.

The 13 cars recovered during the search range from 2005 to 2009 models and have an estimated value of €130,000.

They comprised of two jeeps with the remaining being family saloon and hatchback type cars.

Accordig to a Gardaí spokesman, the vehicles are believed to have been taken, along with the keys, during the course of burglaries in the South Dublin, West Dublin and Kildare areas since the end of July 2009.

The cars have been removed from the scene for technical examination.

Gardai at Baltinglass wish to appeal for the publics assistance in relation to anyone that may have seen anything in Mill Court underground car park during the past month that may assist them in their investigation to contact them at 059-6482610, or the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardaí Officers Treated In Hospital After Crash
Two gardaí officers have received hospital treatment after their patrol car was involved in a collision. The patrol car collided with a car at around 11:00 on Thursday in Kilmallock in Co Limerick, according to a report by the Irish Independent.

Gardaí Investigate Dublin Car Park Fire
Gardaí have launched an investigation after three cars were damaged in a blaze at an underground car park in Dublin on Sunday morning. It is understood that the fire broke out in the car park of Carrigmore Crescent apartments in the Tallaght area of the city around 3am on Sunday. No one was injured in the fire.

Thirty Premises Raided In Dublin
Gardaí and customs officers have carried out raids on 30 premises, including homes, car sales showrooms, accountants and solicitors offices, as part of an investigation into the motor trade.
