Men Arrested After Garda Car Rammed Seriously Injuring Officer
Two men have been arrested and a female garda officer injured in an incident in Swords, Co Dublin.
Garda have reported that the officers car was rammed when she responded to a call of a car acting suspiciously in Cian Lea estate at around 03:25 on Wednesday morning.
When the officer arrived at the scene and identified a white Nissan Micra fitting the reported description, the car drove at the garda car, ramming it and injuring the officer inside.
The officer, a female said to be in her 20s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital where she is being treated for "a serious head wound".
The same car was later recovered by officers responding to calls about burglaries near Talbot Hall.
A search of the area uncovered two men in their late teens, who were subsequently arrested. They are being held at Coolock Garda Station.

The UK-registered van was noticed travelling at speed on the motorway by a Dundalk garda traffic unit, which called for assistance.
