Gardaí Renew Appeal Over O'Halloran Shooting

Garda investigating the fatal shooting of Stephen O'Halloran at Kilmartin Drive in Dublin are renewing their appeal for witnesses after finding two firearms.

Officers investigating the shooting recovered two handguns during the course of planned searches yesterday. They have been taken away for technical examination.

A Gardaí spokesman has asked that anyone who was in the Kilmartin Drive Tallaght, before midnight on the 19 January, or to anyone that may be able to assist the gardai with their enquiries to contact the Tallaght Garda Station.

Stephen O'Halloran was shot dead in a car outside his mother's house.

In a separate incident, Gardai from Finglas Garda station involved in investigating criminal activity in North Dublin have seized two handguns and heroin with an estimated street value of €87,000 during the course of a planned search in the Finglas area earlier today.

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Dublin last week. The body of Kevin Molloy was found at his home in Glendhu Road in Cabra, Dublin, on Sunday 01 February. Investigating garda said they believed Mr Molloy's body had laid undiscovered for some time.

Two Men Arrested Over Dublin Shooting Incident
Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Dublin on Tuesday night. At approximately 11.30pm Gardai received a report of a firearm been discharged at a house on Inverness Road in Fairview. On arrival it was discovered that a shot had been fired at an upstairs bedroom window.

Another Arrested As One Is Released In O'Halloran Investigation
A third man has been arrested by gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of Stephen O' Halloran. He is 19 years old and is presently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act. The arrest was made in the Tallaght area on Thursday.

Elderly Man Arrested After Fatal Shooting In Mayo
An elderly man has been arrested after a man in his 60s was shot dead in County Mayo. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene in Aghamore, Ballyhaunis shortly before midnight on Tuesday, 17 September. It is understood the elderly man heard noises outside his property before the shots were fired.
