Thirteen-Year-Old Held Over Dublin Shooting

A 50-year-old father of one has died from a gunshot wound in Dublin, and Gardaí have arrested a 13-year-old boy in connection with the incident.

Gardai at Store Street in Dublin are investigating the fatal shooting, which occurred at Shelmalier Road Bargy Road, East Wall, Dublin at approximately 7.00pm yesterday evening.

The male victim received a single gunshot wound to the abdomen from a handgun, and was taken to the Mater Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The scene of the shooting remains sealed off pending a Garda technical examination and investigations are ongoing.

It is believed the father was shot after chasing a group from his home.

Gardai on Monday morning arrested a 13-year-old boy in relation this investigation. He is currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against The State Act.

Gardaí have appealed to parents to talk to their children if they think they may have been in the area between 6.30pm and 7.30pm last night and to bring them to Store Street Garda Station if they have any information.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Man Arrested Over Shooting Incident In Co Limerick
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in County Limerick. A man in his 50s was seriously injured in the incident which occurred in Castleroy on Monday morning. He is currently in a critical but stable condition in hospital. The man is currently being detained at Henry Street Garda Station.

'Major Criminal' Arrested For Firearm Possession
A 24-year-old man, who is reported to be an influential and 'major criminal' has been arrested in Dublin last night. The arrest was made as part of an ongoing operation targeting serious crime in Dublin city centre, according to Gardaí.
