Garda Officers Save Stabbed Teenager

A teenager, left to die on a Dublin street after suffering a stab wound, has been taken to hospital after being discovered by Garda Officers.

Gardaí walking their usual 'beat' on Wednesday night discovered the 17-year-old male in the Fairview Park area of the city. He appeared to have a stab wound to his abdomen and gardaí contacted the emergency services.

Gardai are now investigating the alleged assault resulting in the stabbing, which they believe took place at around 9.15pm. The young man is from the Dublin 1 area of the city.

The injured youth was taken by ambulance to The Mater Hospital, where he under went surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

The scene of the assault is now cordoned off for technical examination and a search of the area will take place to try and locate the weapon used.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information on the attack to contact Clontarf Garda Station on 01 666 4800.

A 21-year-old man has died after being stabbed during a knife attack in Kilkenny in the early hours of Wednesday morning. According to reports, the emergency services were called to an apartment at 1.30am at Larchfield Court.

Gardaí Injured During Drugs Raid
A man has been arrested after three gardaí were injured during a drug search in County Louth on Friday. The incident occurred at a property in Termonfeckin after 9am. The officers are believed to have been attacked with a knife and a pitbull dog was set on them. A man in his 30s is being held at Drogheda Garda Station.

Stabbing In Limerick
A man has been stabbed in Limerick. The 21-year-old was found, suffering from a stab wound to the stomach, in Clarina Park in Ballincurra Weston, just after 1am on Wednesday morning. Gardaí said that the man was critically wounded in the attack, but was taken to hospital where he is now reported to be in a stable condition.
