€100,000 In Drugs Found After Shooting
An investigation by Garda following a shooting incident in Limerick has recovered heroin and cocaine with an estimated street value of €100,000, as well as firearms.
Two men are also being held under section 30 of the offences against the state act.
The operation began after shots were fired into the front door of a house in St Munchins street at around 6.00am on Wednesday morning in St Mary’s Park in Co Limerick.
Up to 50 gardaí searched the area following the shooting. The search involved armed detectives, members of the Emergency Response Unit and a number of Gardaí dogs.
The team recovered a firearm and ammunition as well as the drugs in an operation to combat the ongoing feud in the St Mary’s Park estate.
The Emergency Response Unit was there to provide back up for gardaí after being deployed following a drive-by style attack in the area where six houses were peppered with what is thought to have been an automatic weapon.

Shots Fired At House In North Dublin
An investigation has been launched following a shooting incident in north Dublin last night. At approximately 10.30pm, shots were fired at a house in the Cromcastle Court area in Kilmore. According to reports, a window of the house was smashed but nobody was injured. Gardaí attended the scene and officers carried out a technical exam of the area.

Man Released Following Dublin Shooting
A man has been released without charge after being questioned in connection with the shooting of a boy in Dublin on Friday. The six-year-old was shot in the neck in Ballyfermot. A man was detained on suspicion of withholding information. A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Two Held Following Drug Seizure
Two men are being held following the discovery of cannabis and amphetamines worth an estimated €140,000. Some €20,000 worth of cannabis and €120,000 of amphetamines were uncovered when a car was stopped and searched in Waterford. Gardaí say the search was part of an ongoing operation.

Garda Investigate Shooting At Co Cork Home
An investigation has been launched after a shot was fired at a house in Co Cork on Monday. It is understood that armed gardaí responded to reports of a shot being fired at a house in Crookstown. When they arrived an elderly man is understood to have come out and spoken with garda officers at about 19:00.
