Garda Investigate Shooting At Co Cork Home

An investigation has been launched after a shot was fired at a house in Co Cork on Monday.

It is understood that armed gardaí responded to reports of a shot being fired at a house in Crookstown.

When they arrived an elderly man is understood to have come out and spoken with garda officers at about 19:00.

Gardaí subsequently recovered two firearms, which were removed from the property.

No arrests were made and no-one was injured in the incident.

Appeal After Man Shot In Dublin
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot in the Lucan area of Dublin yesterday, Wednesday 04 September. The shooting happened at Griffeen Glen Park at around 1.50pm and saw the target shot in his body, head and arms while in his car. He is in stable condition in hospital.

Motorcyclist Killed In Dublin Crash
A man has died following a collision between a motorbike and a taxi in Dublin. The crash occurred on the Old Navan Road near Mulhuddart in the west of the city at around 7pm on Wednesday evening, 04 September. The 45-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and Gardaí later confirmed he had died.

Pedestrian Dies After Co Kerry Collision
A man in his 50s has died after he was hit by a car in County Kerry. The collision occurred at Aughacasla in Castlegregory at around 2.30am on Sunday morning, 15 September. The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, escaped uninjured while a woman passenger, also in her 20s, was taken to Kerry University Hospital for treatment.
