Missing Irish Backpacker's Bag Recovered In Argentine Hostel

The rucksack belonging to a Co. Laois man, who has been missing for more than a month in South America, has been found in an Argentinean hostel.

The bag belonging to missing Ronan Lawlor, 28, has been uncovered at the El Calafete hostel, where he was last seen. His family are hoping that the discovery of his bag will help pinpoint where he has gone.

Mr Lawlor, an engineer from Durrow, had been backpacking around South America and had been in regular contact with family and friends until the middle of November when all communications ceased.

It is understood that relatives of Mr Lawlor are flying to Argentina tomorrow in order to help in the search for him.
