Woman Freed In Slurry Tank Killing Probe

A 44-year-old woman being held in connection with the murder of New Age traveller Gary Bull in Cork has been released without charge.

The woman, who was arrested on the outskirts of Cork city on Tuesday afternoon, was released last night.

A file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

She was one of seven people arrested in connection with the murder so far.

The body of Mr Bull, originally from the Hertfordshire area of England, was found in a slurry tank on a farm in the Shanlaragh area of Dunmanway last week.

A post-mortem revealed that he died from head injuries.

Woman Arrested Over Cork Murder
A woman in her forties has been arrested in connection with the murder of New Age traveller Gary Bull in Cork. She had been taken to Bandon Garda Station. The body of Mr Bull, who is originally from the Hertfordshire area of England, was found in a slurry tank on a farm in the Shanlaragh area of Dunmanway last Thursday.

Woman Released Without Charge Over Donegal Murder
A woman arrested in connection with the murder of Seamus Donnelly has been released without charge. Mr Doherty was killed at his home in Drumacanoo on 17 June 2012. The woman, 57, was released this morning. A man, 51, who was arrested on Wednesday is still being questioned by garda.

Fline Gael Call For Full-time Limerick Garda Commissioner
Following the weekend's gang murder of an innocent man in Limerick, the Fine Gael Justice Spokesman has called for a full-time Assistant Garda Commissioner to be introduced in Limerick. TD Charlie Flanagan also called for tougher sentences to be implemented, and called for a minimum 25 year sentences for murder.

Gardaí continue to question a 44-year-old woman in connection with the murder of New Age traveller Gary Bull in Cork. The woman, who was arrested on the outskirts of Cork city on Tuesday afternoon, has had her period of detention extended.

Search Continues For Cork Woman Missing In Glasgow
UK police are continuing to search for a Cork woman missing in Glasgow. 24-year-old Karen Buckley, who is from Mourneabbey near Mallow, is a student in the Scottish capital. She has been missing since the early hours of Sunday morning.
