Gardaí Launch Major Search Operation In Dullard And Jacob Murder Investigations
Gardaí investigating the disappearance and murders of Jo Jo Dullard and Deirdre Jacob have today, Monday 15th June 2026, commenced a significant search operation on open ground at a location in County Wicklow near the Wicklow/Kildare border.
The operation follows developments last week, during which Gardaí were assisted by the Defence Forces under Aid to Civil Power arrangements to complete a comprehensive technical ground survey of the specified area. This piece of land will now be subject to detailed searching, excavation, and forensic examinations over the coming days. The localised search operation is being spearheaded by the Serious Crime Review Team within the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, working in close conjunction with Gardaí from the Kildare/Carlow Division. The team is further supported by the Garda National Technical Bureau and the Wicklow Garda Division.
An Garda Síochána has been maintaining regular contact with the families of both Jo Jo Dullard and Deirdre Jacob regarding the ongoing investigations, and they have been fully appraised of these latest operational developments.
Gardaí are issuing a renewed appeal to the public for any information relating to the cases, emphasising that no detail is too small or insignificant. Anyone with information is urged to contact Kildare Garda Station on 045 527 730, or any Garda station.
