Girl, 2, Dies After Incident In Cork

A toddler has died after an incident at a house in Cork.

Emergency services were called to a property on Boreenmanna Road at around 5.30am this morning, Friday 05 July.

The two-year-old was taken to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries. It was later confirmed that she has died.

Gardaí are investigating and have sealed off two apartments for a technical examination.

Pensioner Dies In Co Monaghan Road Crash
A pensioner has died following a road collision in Co Monaghan. The two-vehicle incident occurred on the R188, Monaghan to Cootehill road, at Stranooden on Saturday. A passenger in one of the cars, a female aged in her 80s, was taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital, however she was later pronounced dead.

Two Killed In Separate Road Accidents
Two people have died in road collisions within the last 24 hours. In the most recent incident, a 20-year-old female front seat passenger was fatally injured when the car in which she was travelling went out of control. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Cork University Hospital.
