Cannabis Worth €127k Seized In Meath

Gardaí in County Meath have seized cannabis worth over €127,000 from a house in Stamullen.

The drugs were found during a search of a house in the Mill Lane area by the Meath Divisional Drugs Unit, as an investigation into the sale and supply of illegal substances in the area continues.

22 cannabis plants and around 5.5kg of the herb were discovered. Two men, both aged in their 30s, were arrested in connection with the find.

One was later released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, while another was charged and is due to appear before Dundalk District Court today, Wednesday 05 June.

Cannabis Found In Wooded Area In Co Cavan
Cannabis worth an estimated €100,000 has been uncovered in a wooded area in Co Cavan. Gardaí confirmed they made the discovery on Tuesday at Drumgill. No one has been arrested in connection with the find, gardaí have said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

Cannabis Seized During Raid In Wexford
Gardai have seized herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Wexford. It is estimated to have a street value of €45,000. A number of plants were found during the search of a property in Lee Heights on Thursday. No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.

Man Injured in Co Meath Shooting
A man has been injured in a shooting in County Meath. The attack happened at a house in Dowth, at approximately 9.45pm on Sunday. The victim was shot a number of times in the upper body and his leg. He is currently being treated at Our Lady of Lordes Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
