Cannabis Found In Wooded Area In Co Cavan

Cannabis worth an estimated €100,000 has been uncovered in a wooded area in Co Cavan.

Gardaí confirmed they made the discovery on Tuesday at Drumgill.

No one has been arrested in connection with the find, gardaí have said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

€6.5m To Be Spent On New Off-Road Cycle Route
A total of €6.5m is to be spent on the development of three new off-road cycling routes in Co Kerry, Galway and Waterford. The development will see the former Great Southern Railway line on the Ring of Kerry converted into a 26km cycleway between Glenbeigh and Renard.

Strong winds, heavy rain and further flooding are predicted as Met Éireann issues a further weather warning. A status yellow warning for rain came into effect nationwide at 6am on Friday morning. Rainfall of between 30-45mm is predicted in the next 24 hours.
