Gardaí Seize €5.3m Worth Of Drugs In Co Meath

Up to €5.3 million worth of drugs have been seized following a search operation in Co Meath.

As part of a planned operation by Gardaí from Meath Divisional Drugs Unit, officers carried out the search at a property in Clinstown, Stamullen at 2.45pm on Thursday, 29 June.

Garda members from Ashbourne Detective Unit and the Garda Dog Unit assisted in the operation. Following a search of the house, lands and vehicles present, Gardaí discovered 160 kilos of suspected cannabis herb, approximately 30kgs of suspected cocaine and 2.5kgs of suspected cannabis resin.

It is estimated the street value of the cocaine discovered, subject to analysis, is €2.1m, the street value of the cannabis herb is €3.2m  and the cannabis resin is valued at €50,000.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and he is currently detained at Kells Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Arrests Follow 500K Drug Seizure

In a statement released this morning, Gardai said they had seized the drugs and arrested the two males following an intelligence lead operation in Dublin yesterday.

€200k Of Cannabis Seized In Dublin
A search of a Dublin address yesterday evening led to the arrest of a man and recovered a cache of cannabis worth nearly €200,000. According to Gardaí this morning, the find is part of an on-going investigation carried out by members of the Crime Task Force attached to the Bridewell Garda Station in Dublin.

Man Arrested Over 39kg Of Cannabis Resin
Officers from the National Drugs Unit have arrested a man in connection with the discovery of cannabis resin worth an estimated value of €234,000. The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested on Thursday at a service station on the M1 southbound at about 09:00am in what has been described as an "intelligence-led operation".

Drugs Seized And 15 Arrests Made In 'Operation Reuben'
Gardaí have arrested a total of 15 people in Co Cork as part of a major anti-drug operation. Dubbed "Operation Reuben", Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit moved in and arrested 15 people within 48 hours following "a lengthy drugs operation". Of those arrested, 11, of which two are female, have been charged.

Two Arrested Following Finglas Drug Find
A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with a heroin seizure in Dublin on Monday. Officers from Garda Drugs Unit carried out a planned search at a house in Ratoath Drive, Finglas, Dublin 11. During the search heroin worth an estimated street value of €40,000 was seized.
