Witnesses Sought To Fatal Collision In Co Kildare
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Athy, County Kildare.
A female pedestrian, aged in her 60s, died after she was struck by a truck on Duke Street at about 2.30pm on Wednesday, 13 February.
Emergency services treated the woman at the scene but she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
A post-mortem is due to be carried out at Naas Hospital.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Athy Garda Station 059-8634210 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Gardaí have appealed for help in tracing 33-year-old Michael Anesu Nhema, who has been missing from his Co Kildare home last Tuesday. The Zimbabwe-native was last seen at about 9am on Tuesday 14 April at Branswood in Athy. He is believed to be driving a black Audi A4 with a partial registration of 131 D.
