Woman Killed In Leitrim Road Crash

A woman in her 60's has died in a road collision in County Leitrim.

The one-vehicle crash occurred on the Castlecara Road in Carrick-on-Shannon shortly after midday on Thursday 17 January.

The woman was the driver of the car.

Her body has been taken to University Hospital Sligo where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

The road was closed for some time and diversions put in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact officers at Carrick-on-Shannon Station on 071-9650510 or on the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

A 54-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car in Co. Louth on Sunday night. The woman was struck by the vehicle around 11pm at Farm Road in Annagassan, Dunleer. The incident is being investigated by gardaí from Castlebellingham.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses After Cyclist Is Hit By Bus
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a cyclist was hit by a bus in south Dublin. According to gardaí, a 55-year-old woman was hit by a bus while cycling at about 21:40 on Burlington Road on Monday night. She is currently being treated at St Vincent's Hospital, where her condition is described as serious.

Shots Fired At House In Limerick City
Gardaí in Limerick have arrested two men in connection with a shooting in the city. It is understood that shots were fired at a house in the New Road area at about 20:00 on Tuesday night. A 22-year-old woman and two teenage boys who were in the house at the time, escaped without injury.
