Louth Woman Knocked Down And Killed
A 54-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car in Co. Louth on Sunday night.
The woman was struck by the vehicle around 11pm at Farm Road in Annagassan, Dunleer.
The incident is being investigated by gardaí from Castlebellingham.

A man is in hospital after he was struck by a car that drove towards a crowd in a County Louth graveyard. Gardaí arrested a 20-year-old man at the scene in St Patrick's Cemetery in Dundalk following the incident during the annual blessing of the graves on Sunday 21 July.

Woman Tied-up And Robbed In Louth
A woman in her early 40s was threatened and bound in Louth last night after three men masked men broke into her home. The men entered the house on Commons Road in Dromiskin shortly after 9pm yesterday. Gardaí say the three wore dark clothing and had their faces covered. They escaped with a small amount of cash and some electronic items.

Shotgun Aimed At Irish Water Employee
A gun has been seized from a man, 65, after he pointed it at an Irish Water employee in County Louth, according to gardai. The incident occurred at a property in Ardee after 9am on Tuesday. A spokesman said that the worker was looking for a stop-com for the mains of the house. A double-barrel shotgun is believed to have been aimed at the worker.

The single vehicle road accident happened at about 1am on Tuesday morning close to Brannigan's Cross on the Collon to Tinure Road. A 32-year-old man, the sole occupant of the car, suffered serious injuries when his car left the road and struck a ditch.

Gardaí in Co Louth have confirmed the death of a man in a road traffic accident on the M1 on Thursday afternoon. The man, said to be aged in his 40s, died when a lorry hit a van that was parked on the hard shoulder of the southbound motorway near Monasterboice, north of Drogheda at about 12:45.
