Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses After Cyclist Is Hit By Bus

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a cyclist was hit by a bus in south Dublin.

According to gardaí, a 55-year-old woman was hit by a bus while cycling at about 21:40 on Burlington Road on Monday night.

She is currently being treated at St Vincent's Hospital, where her condition is described as serious.

Garda forensic collision investigators have examined the scene and garda have appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.

Female Cyclist Dies In Co Kerry Collision
A female cyclist has died following a crash in Co Kerry. The incident happened on the Dingle to Tralee Road at around 10.40am on Sunday, 21 August. The bicycle she was riding left the road and hit a ditch. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been removed to University Hospital Tralee. The road has since been reopened.

Fatal Road Crash At Blackrock
Gardai at Blackrock are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Frasctai Road, Blackrock, Co Dublin at approximately 8.40am this morning. The incident occurred when a female cyclist, believed to be in her mid 20s, was hit by a truck. She was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Teenage Cyclist Dies From Injuries Following Collision
A teenager has died in hospital from injuries he sustained in a collision on Sunday, 21 August. The 13-year-old cyclist collided with a car on the main Drogheda to Slane Road at about 8.30pm on Sunday evening. He was being treated at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda however he died from his injuries on Tuesday night, 23 August.

Public Appeal After Third Confirmed Case Of Measles In Ireland
The Public Health Agency (PHA) has announced that it has been made aware of a third confirmed case of measles in the Republic of Ireland. It is understood that the case was confirmed in a resident of Ireland who had arrived back in the country from Abu Dhabi on Saturday 9 March 2024.
