23-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Collision
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses following a fatal motorcycle collision in County Wicklow.
Shortly after 2pm on Monday, 19 November, a 23-year-old man was fatally injured when he came off his motorcycle at Hillbrook Lower the R748 near Carnew. It is understood he was travelling in the direction of Tinahely at the time of the incident.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. His body was removed to the morgue at Naas Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out. The local Coroner has been notified.
The scene was preserved overnight to facilitate examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators today.

This brings the number of motorcyclists killed on Irish roads to 12 in 2018.

A female motorcyclist has been killed after crashing into the central divide of a motorway in Co Kildare. The incident happened at around 8:30pm on the M9 between junction 1 and junction 2 southbound on Saturday, 09 July. The victim, who was in her 40's, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other person was injured in the collision.

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Dublin Road Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following a road traffic accident on Constitution Hill, Dublin, in the early hours of Wednesday morning. A 25-year-old man was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a bus at about 1am. Following treatment at the scene he was taken to the Mater Hospital, where his condition is said to be serious.
