Motorcyclist Killed In Co Kerry Collision

Gardaí in Killarney, Co Kerry, have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision outside Sneem on Tuesday evening.

A male motorcyclist was fatally injured when he collided with a ditch on the Cahirciveen to Sneem Road at about 18:45 yesterday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to Tralee Hospital where a post mortem is expected to take place today, 29 June.

No one else was injured in the collision.

The road was closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination but has since reopened.

Gardaí in Killarney are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them in Killarney on 064 6671160, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following a fatal road traffic accident in County Waterford on Wednesday, 09 September. A man in his 50s was seriously injured when his motorcycle hit a wall on the R448, near Waterford City, at about 17:15. He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford where he was pronounced dead.

Woman Seriously Injured In Collision With Garda Van
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses of a two vehicle collision on the Killarney to Tralee road at about 19:45 on Monday. A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after the car she was driving was involved in a collision with a Garda van around seven miles outside Killarney. The driver of the van suffered minor injuries.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.
