Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Dublin Road Accident

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following a road traffic accident on Constitution Hill, Dublin, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A 25-year-old man was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a bus at about 1am.

Following treatment at the scene he was taken to the Mater Hospital, where his condition is said to be serious.

The driver of the bus, a male in his late 40s, was uninjured. There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the collision.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have examined the scene and the road has since reopened.

Man Questioned Over Fatal Road Crash In Co Mayo
Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.

Three Arrested In Connection with €100,000 Theft
Gardaí have arrested three people in connection with the theft of more than €100,000 in Co Cork at the weekend. Thieves broke into a house in the Kanturk area sometime between 14.00 on Sunday and 10.00 on Monday. The owner of the house, a man in his late 70s, was out at the time of the raid.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.
