Man And Woman Arrested In Connection With Child's Death Last Year

Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a 10-week-old baby girl in Co Longford in June last year.

The child, named as Doriana Kluska, from Cloondara in Longford, died in Temple Street Hospital on 04 June 2017.

A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in Naas. At the same time a woman, aged in her 20s, was arrested in Dublin.

Both are being held at Longford Garda Station in connection with the child's death. They can be questioned by gardaí for 24 hours.

Gardaí from the Roscommon-Longford drug unit have arrested four men in connection with the discovery of cannabis plants worth an estimated €94,000. The plants were uncovered at a house in Dalystown on Monday.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.
