Cash And Car Seized In Traffic Stop

Gardaí have seized a large amount of cash, a sports car and documentation as part of an operation investigation the Kinahan crime gang.

Two men were arrested when gardaí stopped and searched a car, seizing €800,000 in cash.

Two men, one from Dublin and one from Sligo, were arrested and questioned on suspicion of money laundering. One is suspected of being a 'bag-man' for the Kinahan gang.

The men have since been released and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The BMW car, estimated to be worth over €50,000, and documents were discovered in follow-up searches in Sligo and Dublin.

Four Men To Appear In Court Over Cannabis Find
Four men are to appear in court today in connection with a drugs find in Finglas. Gardai seized 470 cannabis plants during a raid on three properties at Meakstown Close on Saturday. It is estimated to have a street value of €376,000. The men were arrested on Saturday night and are to appear at Blanchardstown District Court.

Two Arrested And Cash Seized In Raids Across Limerick
Two men have been arrested and a "significant amount of cash" has been seized in a series of raids across Limerick. Officers from the Criminal Assets Bureau were support by local garda in raids on 11 premises as part of an investigation targeting an organised criminal gang in Co Limerick.

Two Arrested Following Cash In Transit Robbery
Garda investigating an armed robbery at Clare Hall Shopping Centre on the Malahide Rd in Dublin have arrested two men. It is thought that an armed man approached and threatened a cash-in-transit employee to hand over a cash box at 10.30am, before fleeing the scene in a waiting car.

Men Held Over Dublin Airport Cash Seizure
Revenue officers have seized more than €63,000 in two separate operations at Dublin Airport. Officers stopped and searched two Romanian men following routine profiling. The men were travelling separately; however, both were boarding the same early morning flight to Budapest at 6am on Monday, 15 May.
