Four Men To Appear In Court Over Cannabis Find

Four men are to appear in court today in connection with a drugs find in Finglas.

Gardai seized 470 cannabis plants during a raid on three properties at Meakstown Close on Saturday. It is estimated to have a street value of €376,000.

The men were arrested on Saturday night and are to appear at Blanchardstown District Court.

Four men are to appear in court charged in connection with the murder of Peter Butterly. Mr Butterly was fatally shot outside a bar in Meath on 06 March 2013. The suspects were detained in counties Meath, Cavan and Dublin. Two other men are serving life sentences for the murder of Mr Butterly.

Corrib Protesters Arrested Following Clashes
Shell to Sea demonstrators have been arrested after clashing with Gardaí at the disputed Corrib site yesterday. Seven men, ranging in ages from teenagers to mid-40s are to appear in court on charges of public order offences, criminal damage, obstruction and possession of offensive weapons, and are to appear in Ballina District Court on Wednesday.

Men Appear In Court Over Post Office Robbery
Two men are due to appear at Dublin District Court today charged in connection with an attempted armed robbery of a post office at Killnamanagh on 16 June. The men are suspected of demanding money from staff with a hammer. They fled the scene empty-handed but were arrested by garda a short time later.

Two Men To Appear In Court For Roy Collins Murder
Two men will appear in court on Friday charged with the murder of businessman Roy Collins. It is understood the two men, who are members of the McCarthy-Dundon gang – one of whom is regarded as a major criminal figure – will be charged before the Special Criminal Court in connection with the 2009 gun attack.

Three Men Appear In Court Over Cork Cannabis Growhouse
Three of the new arrested on Tuesday in connection with a cannabis growhouse in Cork are due to appear on court today. The three are Chinese nationals and were arrested when gardai raided premises at Springfield Industrial Estate in Youghal on Monday night.
