Tobacco Worth More Than €1m Seized At Rosslare Europort
Revenue Officers have seized tobacco with an estimated value of more than €1 million at Rosslare Europort, Co Wexford.
More than two tonnes of tobacco was uncovered when revenue officers stopped and searched a Polish-registered truck that was arriving from Cherbourg in France.
A man, aged in his 40s, has been detained in connection with the seizure.
The investigation is ongoing with a view to prosecute.
