Gardaí Appeal After Robbery At Jewellery Store In Malahide

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following a robbery at a jewellers shop in Malahide.

Two men entered a jewellers shop at The Diamond, Malahide Village, at approximately 5pm on Saturday, 21 January. The men threatened staff and stole a number of items, including watches during the robbery. One female staff member suffered non life threatening injuries in an altercation with the men.

Both suspects ran in the direction of St Margaret's Avenue, Malahide.

One of the suspects has been described as being 5'9" around 50 years of age, wearing glasses and a yellow jacket. The second man was wearing a black jacket, white hat and was much younger than the first.

Gardaí also believe a black coloured hatchback car may be connected to the incident, after it was seen driving in a dangerous manner in the Yellow Walls Road area, Malahide.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may have been cycling or walking in the Yellow Walls Road area who may have observed the black hatchback car being driven dangerously or at any time prior to or after the robbery.

Following a review of CCTV footage Gardai are directly appealing for a cyclist who may have seen the car or suspects involved; the cyclist was wearing white runners, blue jeans and an anorak type jacket.

A man arrested by Gardai in connection with a fatal stabbing on the Malahide Road in Dublin has been released without charge. The man, in his early 40s, was released yesterday afternoon. Armed Robbery At Malahide
Gardai in Malahide are investigation an armed robbery at an off-license, and are appealing for witnesses. The incident occured at 2.20am on Sunday morning, at an address on St. Margaret's Avenue, Malahide. Two members of staff of an off-license in Malahide were held at gunpoint in their car as they were on their way to make a bank lodgement.

Man Charged Following Robbery In Clontarf
A man has been charged in connection with a robbery in Clontarf earlier this week. The 25-year-old is due to appear in court today, 10 December. The incident happened at around 12.30pm on 8 December, when a suspect walked onto the driveway of a house on Malahide Road and assaulted a man in his 70s, before taking his car keys.

An investigation is underway after a family in Dundalk were robbed at knife-point. Gardaí said three masked men forced their way into the Dundalk family home of a restaurant owner. His wife and three children were also home at the time.

Gardaí Appeal For Information After Armed Post Office Robbery
Gardaí have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at Dún Laoghaire post office in Dublin this morning. Two men entered the post office, armed with what is believed to have been handguns, around 10.25am. They threatened staff before making off with an undisclosed amount of money.
