Armed Robbery At Malahide

Gardai in Malahide are investigation an armed robbery at an off-license, and are appealing for witnesses.

The incident occured at 2.20am on Sunday morning, at an address on St. Margaret's Avenue, Malahide.

Two members of staff of an off-license in Malahide were held at gunpoint in their car as they were on their way to make a bank lodgement.

A lone male took a sum of money, and forced the males out of the car, which he then drove away in.

The car was later located at 3.30am off the back road in Malahide, and an investigation is continuing.

Gardai are appealling to any person who was in the area of Malahide this morning between 2am and 4am to contact them.

Malahide Road Stabbing - Man Released
A man arrested by Gardai in connection with a fatal stabbing on the Malahide Road in Dublin has been released without charge. The man, in his early 40s, was released yesterday afternoon. Gardai in Coolock are continuing to investigate the death of a man whose body was discovered at Northern Cross, Malahide Road on 25 May.

Gardaí Appeal After Robbery At Jewellery Store In Malahide
Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following a robbery at a jewellers shop in Malahide. Two men entered a jewellers shop at The Diamond, Malahide Village, at approximately 5pm on Saturday, 21 January. The men threatened staff and stole a number of items, including watches during the robbery.

Two Arrested Following Shooting Incident
Two men are being questioned following a shooting attack in Co Clare in which a 21-year-old was injured. The incident took place at the Bunratty Hotel car park in the early hours of Sunday morning. It is believed that up to 20 people may have witnessed the incident. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Beach Body Unidentified
The body of a man found at Rosses Point beach early yesterday morning still remains unidentified this afternoon. He was wearing swimming trunks and had not been in the water very long, according to gardaí. They said today that there are no reported missing persons in the country fitting the description of the man believed to be aged between 50-65.

Man Arrested In Connection With Fatal Road Collision
A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in Dublin on Friday night. A woman, 40, died when she was hit by a car on the Davitt Road, which fled from the scene. The car, believed to be a Ford Focus, has not been found. Gardai believe the car would have been damaged at the front and the windscreen.
