Men Arrested In Connection With Togher Drug Seizures

Two men have been arrested in connection with a heroin seizure in Togher.

As part of an ongoing intelligence led operation conducted by the Cork City Divisional Drug Unit into drug dealing activities in the Cork area two men, aged 33 and 35, were stopped and searched.

During the search, heroin worth an approximate street value of €8,000 was seized. Both males were taken to Togher Garda station where they are being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.

During a follow up search of a property in Blarney, Gardaí discovered heroin worth an approximate street value of €110,000. A quantity of cocaine worth an approximate street value of €1,000 was also seized.

Drugs Worth Over €6m Seized By Garda
Drugs with an estimated street value of €6.3m have been seized in two separate raids in Dublin and Drogheda. Gardaí seized heroin worth an estimated €4.05m when they stopped and searched an articulated lorry on the M1 near Drogheda, Co Louth on Thursday night. Three people have been arrested in connection with the find.

A jailed man with suspected links to criminal gangs is believed to have orchestrated a multi-million euro drug trafficking ring. Gardaí have said the latest revelations are significant and say they have been targeting this supply network for some time and further searches and arrests are expected.

Drugs With Street Value Of €7m Seized
Drugs worth an estimated €7m have been seized in three connected raids undertaken by the garda national drugs unit against a major drugs trafficking gang. The first seizure came when armed officers stopped and searched two cars on the outskirts of Naas. 35kg of heroin, diamorphine and cocaine, with a street value of up to €5.

Man Arrested After Drugs Seizure
A man has been arrested following the seizure of a quantity of cannabis in Dublin. According to Gardaí, the search and arrest were conducted as a result of a planned operation this morning.
