Man Arrested After Drugs Seizure
A man has been arrested following the seizure of a quantity of cannabis in Dublin.
According to Gardaí, the search and arrest were conducted as a result of a planned operation this morning.
The Garda National Drugs Unit, with assistance from local Gardaí in Balbriggan, searched a business premises in the area leading to the recovery of approximately 2.5kg of what is believed to be cannabis resin.
Gardaí believe this quantity has a street value of €1.75 million.
The 47 year-old-male was arrested at approximately 11.00am and is currently being detained in Balbriggan Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

A man has been arrested after cannabis worth an estimated €100,000 was seized during a Gardaí search operation in Co Carlow. Gardaí from the Kilkenny/Carlow Divisional Drugs Unit and the Garda Dog Unit carried out a planned search of a premises in Carlow Town shortly after 2:30pm on Thursday.

A woman has been arrested after a cannabis growhouse was discovered by gardai in County Carlow. The plants, believed to be worth approximately €250,000, were found during a planned search of a house yesterday. The woman, in her 40's, is being questioned at Carlow garda station.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a major drug seizure in Dublin that led to the discovery of an estimated €500,000 worth of various drugs.
