Investigation Launched After Armed Robbery In Kerry
Gardai have launched an investigation following an armed robbery in Co Kerry.
Three men entered Waterville Post Office at around 11am this morning, 03 August.
After stealing a sum of cash, the suspects left the scene in a small blue car in the direction of Cahersiveen/Killarney.
At around 11.15am, Gardaí responding to the robbery intercepted a navy blue Mazda car and pursued the vehicle.
The car crashed in the Beaufort area of Killarney and shots were discharged by Gardaí during the incident. No injuries have been reported.
The suspects abandoned the vehicle and took off over fields on foot. Two men in their 30s were subsequently arrested and are currently being detained at Killarney and Tralee Garda stations under Section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
A third man is still being sought. RSU from Cork and Limerick along with a Dog Unit are currently at the scene.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Two Men Arrested Over Attempted Supermarket Robbery
Two men have been arrested by garda investigating a robbery at a supermarket in Ongar Village on Saturday, 13 March. At approximately 8:30pm up to three men, in possession of firearms and knives, entered the shop threatening staff and demanding cash. However, the raiders left the scene empty handed in a silver coloured car.

Dunleek Shooting Probed
A man is in hospital in Drogheda after being shot outside his home. Gardai in County Meath were this afternoon investigating the shooting incident in Duleek. A 29-year-old was hit a number of times by a lone gunman as he was putting out a bin at a house in the Belfry Estate on the Navan Road this morning.
